The Bokhara rug design is Hand Knotted, made form 100% wool in villages within the Punjab area covering around 100-300 kilometers from Lahore in Pakistan. Manufacturing of the Bokhara rug design is specialised to this specific area.
The weaving time of Bokhara rugs is dependent on size, weather conditions and cultivation of crops which will impact the local wool used in production. This can take between 4 to 10 weeks per rug. We keep the pile at approx. 1.20cm to give a soft silky appearance and luxurious experience underfoot.
